Latching solenoid valves are available in 3-way normally closed configuration. Excellent post, Mary! Miniature solenoid valves are becoming a space-saving solution for a wide range of analytical, pharmaceutical, and instrumentation applications. In my view, compact solenoid valves might be the appropriate answer for those applications that demand precise and dependable control of the fluid flow but have limited space.
