Stainless steel cylinders for wash down applications
Bimba’s Original Line All Stainless Steel Cylinders, which had been available in 4 bore sizes (3/4”, 1-1/16”, 1-1/2” and 2”), have now been expanded with 8 additional bore sizes (5/16”, 7/16”, 9/16”, 7/8”, 1-1/4”, 1-3/4”, 2-1/2” and 3”). Designed for wash down applications, the OL All Stainless Steel Cylinder is suitable not only in the food industry but also the medical industry.
The stainless steel construction is excellent for medical hand tools, such as clamping, cutting or impacting. Fluoroelastomer seals rated for temperatures up to 400° F are available, but should be ordered for chemical compatibility only, and is the “V” option. We recommend contacting your local distributor for a custom design quote if you require a temperature rating of more than 200°F.
The OL All Stainless Steel Cylinder is also used by dental furniture manufacturers. Using proximity sensors, the cylinders detect hand motion and open and close a door, which leaves the dentist office more hygienic.

Bimba Introduces New OSHA-Compliant Safety Valve
May 25, 2010 by kremington
Filed under Air Preparation, Equipment, Industry News, Valves
Bimba Manufacturing introduces a new safety valve (lock out – tag out style) to its line of Air Preparation Products. Current OSHA and ANSI/PMMI standards1 require a lockout valve installed on all air-operated equipment to isolate the equipment from its air supply and to exhaust all downstream air pressure making the equipment safe for maintenance.

The Pneumatic Isolation Valve (PIV Series) is available in nine sizes, from 1/4″ to 1-1/2″ with a full range of accessories to help companies conform to these standards. Many competitive models fail to comply with these standards due to reduced-sized exhaust ports and designs that can be locked in a “partially on” condition.
The new PIV Series catalog is available in electronic format on the Bimba website. Learn more about Bimba’s Pneumatic Isolation Valve, reference safety standards and view real-time pricing and delivery information at www.bimba.com.

Heavy-Duty Cylinders

Machesney Park, IL – TRD Manufacturing, a Bimba Company, announces the introduction of their new HH Series Cylinders, which feature an innovative design to deliver more reliability in heavy-duty industrial hydraulic operations.

All HH Series models come in bore sizes 1.50”, 2”, 2.50”, 3.25”, 4”, 5”, 6” and 8”. Requests are made-to-order, with standard and custom options available. Cylinders usually ship in two to three days and most requests are answered the day they are received.
As part of the HH series, TRD offers a complete line of hydraulic Rod Locks. Cutting-edge floating rod bushing technology ensures that these rod locks achieve their high rated holding force and stay correctly aligned. This reduces cylinder drag, wear and erratic operation, thereby ultimately improving performance, consistency and results.
Each rod lock model is available in three different holding forces, depending on the release pressure. And, with the ability to handle up to 3,000 PSI, these precision-machined cylinders can be used on most heavy-duty applications.
Other standard features include a heavy-duty rod wiper, seals, wear band, chrome plated I.D tube and more. Rod locks, stop tubes, center supports, stainless steel piston rods and high impact pistons are also available as performance options. Accessories include clevis, pins, mounts and alignment couplers up to a 5” thread size.
