Hydac Technology has developed a family of high-pressure filters that can meet automotive specifications and utilizes industry standard-size elements — the HF2P Series High Pressure Filter.
Apart from the automotive sector, these high pressure filters are also suited to many applications in various industries such as agricultural, construction, industrial and railways.
These high pressure filters also provide more benefits as compared to other filters available in the market. For instance, its non-welded housing design prevents fatigue failure and decreases stress concentration.
With inlet/outlet port options such as BSPP, subplate mounting and SAE straight thread O-ring boss, the HF2P High Pressure Filter family is easy to install, eliminating the need for costly adapters.
Aside from that, these high pressure filters use O-ring seals to provide reliable sealing. The choice of O-ring materials — from EPR, Fluorolastomer and Nitrile — makes these filters compatible with high water based liquids, oil/water emulsions, water glycols, synthetic fluids and petroleum oils.
A screw-in bowl is also mounted under the filter head and this requires little clearing when the element needs to be replaced. The bowl also ensures that contaminated liquid will not be washed downstream when the element is serviced.
Furthermore, these high pressure filters feature clogging indicators that are actuated by differential pressure, while having no exterior dynamic seal. Potential leak points are also eliminated thanks to the filter’s high reliability and magnetic indicator actuation.
The head of these filters are made from ductile iron, while the bowl is composed of steel. They can handle pressure up to 4,000 psi (275 bar), maximum flow of 25 gpm (94 l/min) and has a 3/4-inch port size.
