Cypress Envirosystems offers a Deadband version of its Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat (WPT). The Deadband feature allows the user to set two temperature points within the range where neither the heating or cooling systems are required. Common in older commercial buildings with pneumatic thermostats, a single setpoint or temperature was all that was available. If the temperature raised or lowered just one degree the cooling or heating would turn on to keep the environment at a single temperature. This new WPT enables these older buildings to use programmable independent heating and cooling setpoints, which can decrease energy costs up to 80%. This thermostat also incorporates Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology, which gives a commercial building the ability to centrally set and control the buildings temperature. These units support retro and continuous-commissioning which ensures all zones are calibrated and functioning efficiently. The installation of the thermostat is both quick, non-invasive, and tie into the existing pneumatic network of the building. This adds the new-age ability to centrally control and monitor all the zones in the building. These wireless pneumatic thermostats don’t only save energy costs, but are also much less expensive and quicker to install.
