SMC Pneumatics has upgraded the CQ2 pneumatic actuator, and it is now available in 15 bore sizes ranging from 12mm to 200mm. It is also five percent to 13 percent less heavy than the old design without any reduction in body strength.
Aside from that, the new design utilizes less aluminum, making the new CQ2 more eco-friendly by slashing CO2 discharge by 1300 tons.
The new CQ2 is also offered in six different mounting options for application versatility. Position sensors can also be mounted on four sides for quick and easy installation. In addition, the new CQ2 is considered the excellent choice for any pneumatic actuator needs.
The CQ2 pneumatic actuator features various improvements over the previous design. It now works with two color indication position sensors for wet or welding environments. The CQ2 is also more compact because its position sensors no longer protrude outside the profile.
Additional strokes are also available for added design flexibility, and position sensors can be mounted on all sides, cutting space requirements. The CQ2 pneumatic actuator also features 42 standard options so that it can meet various application needs.
CQ2 models include the CQ2*S, which has high side load option and more design elements, making it an excellent choice for tougher applications; while the CQ2*P features axial porting — a novel solution to space problems.
On the other hand the CQ2-XC35 is the perfect choice for weld environments thanks to its rod scraper, which removes weld spatter; while the CQ2*R water resistant actuator is suited for wet environments due to its special rod wiper.
