Ross Controls appoints new president and CEO

ROSS Controls, Troy, Mich. has announced the promotion of Jeffrey J. Hand to President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1. Hand replaces John G. Smith who recently announced his retirement after a 40-year career with ROSS. Smith will remain involved in the company as its Chairman of the Board of Directors. Hand has held several positions during his 12 years at ROSS, most recently as President, North American Operations.

Founded in Detroit, in 1921, ROSS CONTROLS is an international manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control systems for the fluid power industry. As a global leader in pneumatic safety products, ROSS works closely with industrial customers to help them comply with required safety standards. In addition to its products designed for the general fluid power industry, ROSS offers unique application solutions and engineered products for specific industries including metals, glass, and press/metal forming. ROSS has design, sales and manufacturing locations in Germany, Japan, China, France, India, Brazil and the UK, offering localized solutions for a global marketplace.
