Bosch Rexroth has developed the MS01 Pneumatic Part Present Sensing System, which monitors the positioning of parts at very precise measuring accuracy of up to 0.01 millimeter.
This pneumatic modular system is designed to detect part presence as automatic processing and feeding of workpieces often depends on exact positioning. Moreover, exact calibration fulfills the strictest client demands in terms of size, user-friendliness and technology.
The MS01 scans test objects via an air jet from the sensor nozzle, allowing users to control the dimensions, shape, position and the presence of the test objects. The device simultaneously evaluates the previously defined pressure and sends output to the user in the form of electrical signals.
After which, the signals are analyzed by the machine control system and shown on the module. If there is something wrong with the workpiece’s position, the control system stops the process, if not the workpiece is released for processing.
With this capability, the MS01 contributes greatly to improving the quality of the test objects, aside from preventing errors. Ultimately, this saves time and money on the part of the user.
Apart from offering meticulous measuring accuracy of up to 0.01 millimeter, the MS01 is also unique due to its integrated air blowing function. This prevents inaccuracies in the measured results due to the influence of contaminants such as coolant or shavings. Additionally, regular surface cleaning is assured with this function.
