Eisele Connectors’ pilot-operated check valves are part of the company’s Basic Line and can be used in combination with pneumatic cylinders. They enable flow in one direction, which in return blocks the flow in the opposite direction: thus preventing pneumatic cylinders from unintentionally deaerating in the event of a pressure drop.
Because they prevent sudden pressure drop, they are ideal as safety devices in industrial or medical lifting applications like those used in ambulances. If necessary, users can open the valves by inserting a defined pressure and force to ventilate the cylinders.
Eisele’s series 25 swivel joint can be used as a connection supplement, allowing activation through compressed air. It can also be used with manual activation.
The pilot operated check valve is made of nickel-plated brass and is designed for a working pressure range of 1 to 10 bar and a temperature range of negative 10 to 70 °Celsius. The series is available in four sizes — 1/8, ¼, 3/8 and ½ in. Here we have the 1/8 and ½ inch sizes.
