Parker Hannifin Corporation’s P1V-S Series features external components all made of stainless steel.
The P1V-S Series is a range of air motors of varied sizes, with powers ranging from 20 watts to 1,200 watts and 5 rpm to 24,000-rpm speed.
The air motor is surrounded by polished stainless steel housing, sealed with a flour rubber O-ring. The product’s output shaft is also sealed with a flour rubber seal. The motor’s planetary reduction gear, which has one or more reduction stages, is also sealed with a flour rubber O-ring.
The P1V-S air motor is equipped with vanes suitable for intermittent lubrication-free applications, which is the most common air motors application. The motor is lubricated with the USDA-H1 standard grease in its planetary gearbox, which is approved for food grade applications.
To ensure that no dirt or bacteria is accumulated, P1V-S air motors have been designed with a cylindrical body without pockets. Two halves of the motor’s body is sealed with O-ring to avoid contamination.
The P1V-S Series air motor is specially designed for operations with intermittent intervals under non-lubrication conditions where no particles of the lubricant escape with the exhaust air, reducing service costs.
The choice of materials used in this air motor is based on the requirements needed in food grade applications, which involve aggressive cleaning materials, as well as other applications where corrosion may exist.
