Parker’s Compact Pneumatic Cylinders with three-piece bolted design

Parker’s (www.parker.com) Compact Pneumatic Cylinders P1M Series is designed with a unique internal transfer tube, providing a passage that can be used during remote porting. Its high strength rod bearing comes with steel backing while its non-lube urethane rod seal functions as rod wiper and rod seal. This effectively eliminates leakage and keeps the cylinder from being contaminated.

Featuring a unique three-piece bolted design, the pneumatic cylinder’s smooth anodized aluminum exterior offers a wear-resistant surface. Its piston magnet, which is fitted behind the piston, is used for electronic piston sensing.

For maximum wear compensation as well as rounded grooves for retaining lubrication, its dynamic Z-profile piston seal comes with two rounded micro sealing edges. Recessed, flush position sensors are offered in various styles — NPN, PNP or REED.

Optional bumpers offer impact resistance and noise reduction, while optional NPTF or BSPP ports are available at no additional charge.

Customers can select from hard chrome plated carbon steel or stainless steel piston rods, with stainless steel offered as standard on bores sized 25 mm and below. To meet the customers various needs, the company also offers four standard piston rod ends.

The extra low profile bearing variant is recommended for use in applications requiring shorter stroke lengths. They are also suitable for used in light duty applications and are offered in stroke lengths of up to 150 mm for larger sized bores. Smaller bore sizes are available in stroke lengths of up to 50 mm.

Offering added rod bearing and piston bearing support, the long bearing version also features a magnetic piston and bearing strip for optimized piston bearing support. This version is ideally suited for higher duty applications.
