Parker introduces the modular P1Q Series Global Compact Cylinders

Parker (www.parker.com) has unveiled an economical, space-saving cylinder that is ideally suited for various applications — the P1Q Series Global Compact Cylinders.

Available in 10 bore sizes, the P1Q series offers modular flexibility as well as low cost price point. Standard stroke ranges between 5 mm and 100 mm while pressure range is up to 145 psi. All models are equipped with built-in bumpers which enable the cylinders to deliver quieter operation. Meanwhile, a piston wear band is fitted in bore sizes 40 mm to 100 mm, providing them with superior service life.

Standard features of P1Q cylinders include bumpers on both ends, threaded through holes and NPT porting. Customers can also specify for both female and male rod end options as well as magnetic or non-magnetic construction.

The compact cylinders also offer hard coat anodized surface, pre-energized piston seal and integrated sensor grooves. Flexible mounting options include foot mount, flange mount, clevis mount, rod clevis and rod eye.

In case piston sensing is required, its integrated switch grooves offer flexible mounting of any combination of PNP, NPN and reed sensors with M8, flying leads or M12 cord options in the Parker P8S Global Sensor Family. When a male rod is needed, the company’s rod end accessories include both rod eye and rod clevis.

The use of ISO 8573-1 quality class 3.4.3 is recommended for trouble-free operation and best possible service life. This means oil concentration 1.0 mg oil/m3 and 5 μm filter (standard filter) dew point +3ºC for indoor operation (for outdoor operation, a lower dew point should be used).
