Norgren has launched a new generation of valve manifolds that enhances the design, performance and maintenance of pneumatic systems used in industrial machines — the VS Manifolding Valve Product Range.
Valve manifolds can be easily installed by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and decreases the possibility of leakage in pneumatic systems. However, problems arise when end-users modify their design or add new features.
The VS Manifolding Valve Product Range developed by Norgren addresses this problem by building-in the capability to expand the manifold while on the field, without the need to disassemble or replace the device.
With a modular design that permits the expansion of single stations by as much as 16 valves, expanding Norgren’s VS45, VS26 or VS18 valve manifolds in the field requires only a few seconds thanks to the plug-in printed circuit board (PCB) technology.
Aside from that, the sub-base plug-in valves are available in three sizes, with flow coefficients (Cv) ranging from 0.52 to 4.2. In addition, these valve manifolds are easy to connect since they utilize a two-screw system for installing the manifold bases.
Norgren’s VS Manifolding Valve Product Range also comes with two special spool technologies. First, the soft-seal spool significantly increases the flow rates, while the glandless sleeve and spool guarantees hundreds of millions of trouble-free cycles. Both of these unique spool technologies can also be integrated in the same manifold to meet various application requirements.
Furthermore, the VS manifolding series also comes with accessories with various functions such as enhancing air use and slashing cost by utilizing sandwich flow controllers and regulators.
