Low temperature valve for harsh environments

A poppet valve for applications that must operate in extreme temperatures, as low as -40°C (-40°F) or as high as 60°C (140°F), is the newest addition to the popular line of Prospector poppet valves from Norgren. The Prospector low temperature poppet valve is certified to meet rail industry requirements for extreme temperatures, shock and vibration. It stands up to the harsh environment found in metal forging, pressing, stamping and roll-forming. It is also well suited for machine tools and conveyor systems in pulp and paper operations and food and beverage processing. The valve’s high flow and short stroke result in faster response times. Machine designers and plant engineers using Prospector valves can select between air pilot or solenoid pilot in a wide range of voltages. The expanded Prospecter poppet line has offerings in a variety of functions with flows from Cv 1.2 up to 49.5.
