Lightweight Polyethylene Tubing

February 5, 2009 By Pneumatics Editor

Linear, low-density formula polyethylene tubing is lightweight, flexible, and chemically inert, forming a good barrier to gases, vapors, and moisture. It has no transfer of odor or taste to critical streams and is nearly resistant to stress cracking. The tubing is durable and flexible at temperature below 0°.

Co-extruded, polyethylene-lined EVA shares the properties of the low-density formula, but its ingredients conform to USP Class VI standards, and it has greater flexibility because of the bonded EVA outer layer.
