Leybold introduces TRIVAC L two-stage rotary vane pump

Leybold has offered the TRIVAC rotary vane pump for about 90 years. The oil-sealed pump is used in industrial and research settings to generate rough and fine vacuum and as a backing pump for use with Roots, diffusion, turbomolecular, and cryogenic pumps. Leybold has introduced the TRIVAC L, a new two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump with optimized air cooling.

Leybold offers the TRIVAC in pumping speed classes
ranging from 5.8 to 92/110 m3/h (50/60 Hz).

Suitable for vertical and horizontal alignment

The TRIVAC L is designed to provide a combination of performance, reliability, and efficiency for modern vacuum processes. In production environments with high humidity, its patented three-stage gas ballast improves water vapor tolerance. The pump includes standard flanges for inlet and outlet connections, and the outlet can be configured for vertical or horizontal alignment. Applications include analytics, research and development, metallurgy, production of air conditioning systems and heat pumps, freeze-drying of food and pharmaceuticals and coating carrier materials for semiconductor or solar technology.

Available in different pumping speed classes

The TRIVAC is available in pumping speed classes ranging from 5.8 to 92/110 m³/h (50/60 Hz). Leybold also offers customized designs for requirements related to motors, oils, or systems. For the standard TRIVAC L, variants are available for motor options across different regions. “The patented design of the oil housing is an ergonomic advantage,” explains product manager Jane Li. “It reduces the oil temperature and extends the service life of the oil,” she adds. The pump includes a sight glass to monitor oil level and a standard drain valve for applications that require frequent oil changes.

Cost-effective solution and simplified maintenance

The TRIVAC L is designed for straightforward operation. Mechanical updates improve component durability and can extend operating time in certain processes. The pump’s power consumption, motor efficiency, and available on-site service may help reduce total operating costs compared with conventional rotary vane pumps.

Range of service solutions

Leybold offers service options including oil and spare parts, in-house and on-site service, pump module exchange, certified used vacuum pumps and pump rental. “The TRIVAC L vacuum pumps also come with an extensive range of accessories, enabling them to be optimally adapted to the individual requirements of different applications,” adds product manager Jane Li.
