ELGi North America announced the launch of the Airmate HLD series modular desiccant compressed air dryer, a state-of-the-art solution for applications that demand ultra dry compressed air.
Engineered to achieve ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 2 compressed air quality, the new desiccant air dryer consistently maintains –40°C pressure dew points. This meets the demanding requirements of industries where even trace moisture can cause defects, contamination and downtime.
“Moisture is the invisible enemy of many industrial processes, and our newest Airmate HLD series air dryer is an answer to this challenge,” said Aneek Roy, Director of Regional PMO at ELGi North America. “By combining advanced moisture reduction technology with energy-efficient operation, we’ve created a solution for applications that include painting, powder coating, pharmaceuticals, dental laboratories, glass manufacturing, semiconductors and food processing.”
The Airmate HLD series features a modular twin-tower heatless drying system that ensures an uninterrupted supply of high-quality air. The compressed air passes through one tower to absorb moisture onto a granular desiccant bed while the second tower depressurizes it. The dry, purged air from the first tower is then redirected to regenerate the desiccant bed in the second. This alternating cycle between the towers operates on an efficient four-minute cycle, ensuring continuous, efficient drying.
Key to the Airmate HLD series’ efficient functionality is its adjustable purge optimizer and, optional, available dew point stretch cycle feature.
The purge optimizer allows customization of the regeneration flow (purge) percentage according to a customer’s specific moisture level drying needs. Allowing tailoring of dryer operation efficiency to a company’s unique needs.
The optional dew point stretch cycle feature extends the desiccant’s moisture-loading capability by automatically adjusting drying/regeneration times based on live dew point meter readings at the outlet via an externally installed sensor, which also minimizes energy consumption.
These features make the Airmate desiccant dryer a valuable addition to any compressed air system, optimizing production and operational efficiency.
Available in capacities ranging from 10 to 375 cfm, the Airmate HLD series is suited for applications ranging from small-scale operations to large industrial plants. Its compact modular design integrates seamlessly into existing compressed air systems.
Certified for CE and CRN standards, the Airmate HLD series meets international safety and performance benchmarks, making it a trusted choice for global industries. To further ensure reliability, ELGi backs the HLD Series with a comprehensive three-year warranty.
