Fabco-Air unveils FJU and FJUK Series Air Cylinders

Pneumatic components manufacturer Fabco-Air (www.fabco-air.com) has introduced the FJU and FJUK Series of multi-mount air cylinders.

Offered in standard and non-rotating models, the FJU Series is specifically developed for limited space applications. Its rectangular design which features tapped and through holes, provides mounting surface on the cap end, rod end, sides and bottom.

Additionally, the FJU Series’ compact and lightweight body helps save space while its hard anodized aluminum coating protects it against corrosion. It also comes with hard chrome plated steel piston rod.

For convenient electronic position sensing, the company has designed the magnetic piston to suit almost all bore sizes. The four extruded slots allow sensor mounting on top or bottom surface of the cylinder.

Meanwhile, the FJUK Series adds a superior nonrotating feature to the FJU Series.

Featuring an anodized aluminum guide block securely attached to the piston rod, the FJUK series are ideally suited for applications such as figure stamping, package placement and any application where registration and anti-rotation are critical as the piston retracts and extends.

Its steel guide shaft, which is connected to the guide lock, assures anti-rotation of less than 0.8 degrees as it rides on an oil-free sintered bronze bearing.

Both the FJU and FJUK series feature 9C49 style sensors that offer polarity protection, surge suppression, extremely fast switching speeds and LED indicator. The sensors slide into mating four mm keyhole slots found on either side of the cylinder housing. With a set screw, the sensors can be easily positioned and locked in place.
