Clippard’s Maximatic FRLs enhance pneumatic systems

Clippard Instruments Laboratory Inc. Maximatic Filters, Regulators and Lubricators (Maximatic FRLs) prepare and condition compressed air for utilization in fluid power systems. Pneumatic applications with properly conditioned air have greater efficiency, longer life and lower cost.

These Maximatic Filters, Regulators and Lubricators are available in five sizes ranging from #10-32 to 1-inch NPT. Aside from that, these FRLs have a modular design and their interconnecting brackets make them easy to install and modify.

The Maximatic Filters can capture solid particles and can take out water by ‘spinning’ the air centrifugally. Large particulate and water are thrown on the side of the bowl where they condense and/or drop to the lower part of the bowl, while small particles are trapped as the air flows via the filter element.

Additionally, the Maximatic Regulators are also an integral part of any pneumatic and hydraulic systems because controlling pressure is an essential requirement in such systems. Moreover, these regulators can be adjusted from seven to 125 psig.

For applications that need higher resolution, seven to 30 or seven to 60 psig variants with spring are also available. Sizes #10 to #32 are considered piston-style due to their tiny size, while 1/8-inch to 1-inch regulators feature a diaphragm design.

In addition, pneumatic valves and actuators perform more efficiently and have a longer life when they are properly lubricated. This is where the Maximatic Lubricators come in. The lubricator’s bowl acts as a reservoir for the oil; and when it is pressurized, it disperses oil through a pick-up tube. Furthermore, the amount of oil supplied can be regulated by an adjustable needle valve.
