The “H” Controlair valves from Bosch Rexroth Corporation belong to the types of pneumatic pressure regulating, directional valves that control both the flow and pressure of air.
These valves are a combination of three-way pressure regulating and non-regulating valves or versatile three-way and four-way pressure regulating valves. “H” Controlair valves can be operated through the use of hand, foot or a mechanical device.
Commonly used on oil and gas drilling and service rigs, the H Controlair valves come in various models including the H-1 – foot pedal and H-2 – hand lever which are both operated for one pressure regulated circuit, HC-2 – hand lever operated for two pressure regulated circuits and HD-2 – hand lever which is operated for two non-regulated circuits and one pressure regulated circuit.
The HD-2, HE-2, H-2 and HC-2, Controlair Valves are available with any of the kinds of lever holding or return characteristics which are indicated by the suffix contained in the designation.
The X (self-returning) suffix indicates that the lever can return from its extreme position to the “Neutral” or “Off” position of the valve when no operating force is involved. The LX (self-returning with latch) suffix means the lever can return to the “Neutral” or “Off” position of the valve when manually moved out of the latch position (extreme travel position). Meanwhile, the FX-(self-holding) suffix lets the lever stay in any position and holding friction can be adjusted.
