Aventics refines its Advanced Valves once again

Right from the start, simple handling was one of the most important features of the AV valve system series. Pneumatics specialists from Aventics have taken this approach one step further and now have a new solution to showcase at the Hannover Messe 2018. With outlets on the bottom, the AV system is optimized for installation in control cabinets.

“Depending on their requirements, our customers also want to be able to install the AV system in control cabinets,” said Tomas Kälble, product manager for valve systems at Aventics. “The AV-BP (bottom-ported) makes this possible. And with the help of our transition plate, customers can also take advantage of the benefits of a pneumatic multipole.”

The valve system has already proven its value among customers—it is flexible in application, extremely lightweight, and offers high energy efficiency. If customers want to install it in a control cabinet, the tubing no longer has to be guided out of the cabinet separately, reducing the mounting effort for the new solution significantly. Both sizes, AV03 and AV05, feature bottom-ported connections, allowing the valve system with up to 32 valves to be mounted directly on the wall of the control cabinet. A foam rubber gasket seals off the system.

Pneumatic multipole capabilities
Alternatively, the customer can use a metal transition plate, which serves as a pneumatic multipole. Quick installation and deinstallation of the valve system no longer require countless push-in fittings to be disassembled and re-mounted. Instead, the valve system can simply be removed from the transition plate and replaced completely.

The AV system features a modular design and combines up to 64 valves with up to 128 coils in a single system with extension flexibility. During assembly and exchange, the poka-yoke principle prevents components from being installed incorrectly. AES valve electronics connect the AV system to all relevant controls.

Aventics will provide an overview of the AV family at Hannover Messe 2018, booth C39 in hall 23. The international industrial trade fair will take place from April 23 to 27, 2018, in Hanover under the banner “Integrated Industry – Connect & Collaborate”.
