One of the best fluid power technical conferences in the world is the every-four-year IFK event held in the lovely city of Aachen, Germany. I’ve had the good fortune to attend the conference twice in the past, and I know that next year’s 9th IFK will be an important fluid power event for both manufacturers and researchers in the field.
The event is slightly more than a year away; the Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Controls (IFAS) at RWTH Aachen University recently announced their Call for Papers for the 9th IFK, slated for March 24-28, 2014.
Topics for the 2014 program include mobile hydraulics, pneumatics, renewable energy applications, sensors, actuators, filters, valves, hybrid drives, fluids, plug & play hydraulics, digital hydraulics, and system analysis.
In addition to stellar talks from leading fluid power researchers, IFAS puts on laboratory tours, a lovely cultural program for spouses, and a fantastic banquet evening, complete with entertainment from the fluid power graduate students—an evening not to be missed!
