NFPA Cylinders from Fabco-Air features non-metallic, oversized composite rod bearings for maximum load support, high cycle life and outstanding wear resistance.
Apart from being self-lubricating, the optional composite barrels are also made from impact resistant and high-strength materials. They have low coefficient of friction and bore sizes range from 1.5-inch to six inches, with maximum stroke of up to 99 inches.
Compared to other cylinders available in the market, these NFPA Cylinders provide many benefits. For example, the head and cap are made from black anodized and solid aluminum bar stock, making them corrosion resistant.
The piston is also very sturdy but light-weight thanks to its solid aluminum composition. To bolster maximum load conditions, it carries a broad graphite filled PTFE wear band. Aside from that, these cylinders come with a polished high-strength steel piston rod that features a chrome plated surface: this delivers maximum cycle life for seals and bushing. Moreover, the seals for the compression type tube are reusable
In addition, these cylinders are fitted with standard Buna-N Nitrile Seals and their Polyurethane rod wipers are resistant to abrasion. Port design also allows full flow for enhanced cylinder operation.
These cylinders also work well in handling maximum pressure of up to 250 psi and can operate in temperatures ranging from –10°F to +165°F. At the same time, the NFPA Cylinders are lubricated by high-performance synthetic grease with microscopic PTFE particles.
