Piab (www.piab.com) has unveiled the piINLINE, a series of inline vacuum ejectors with high vacuum flow and based on COAX technology, making them suitable for the packaging industries.
“The new range has a high vacuum flow and tolerates fibers and dust, so they work very well in applications for carton board and solid board materials that leak air significantly, which is normal in the packaging industry,” said Jan Schieche, Global Product Manager Pump & Accessories at Piab.
Unlike single-stage ejectors, the piINLINE offers a more eco-friendly solution, with its smallest model using an average of 50 percent less energy. This means lower energy consumption, carbon emissions and noise.
The inline vacuum ejectors are offered in three different sizes — Midi, Mini and Micro. Each size comes with three special options that enable them to deliver optimized capacity and performance.
The Xi option offers the best vacuum flow and is highly efficient at deep vacuum levels. Perfect for smooth materials such as plastic and glass, this option is ideally suited for use in metal and plastic industries where components are hard to pick up.
Meanwhile, the Si option is recommended for use in applications where ejectors with large flows are required to enable gripping, moving and lifting. It is also ideal for applications where leakage plays a significant factor.
Featuring low feed pressure of 0.18 to 0.3 Mpa, the Pi option is ideally suited for factories in industries with low or fluctuating air pressure.
“piINLINE can be likened to the new energy-efficient light bulbs: a vacuum ejector that has greater power while using less energy,” noted Schieche.
